Are you interested in a career in counselling? Or just want to learn some valuable skills in listening and supporting others? This course provides an initial introduction to concepts, skills and theory utilised by professional counsellors and could be your first step in qualifying as a counsellor.
Course Content
On this course, we will:
Introduce the basic counselling and active listening skills
Practice use of these listening skills
Explore the main theoretical approaches to counselling
Explore difference and diversity can impact on counselling/supportive relationships
Build skills in developing self-awareness

Deposit Required on booking: £40
Deposit is payable on booking followed by the full fees, which are due one week before the course starts.

There are no entry requirements for this course however, students must be in a sufficiently emotionally stable state within which to safely explore and challenge their own reactions/thoughts and self-awareness within a group setting.
