Course Information

This qualification is designed to give learners the underpinning knowledge, skills, and competencies to use counselling skills ethically and safely in a variety of contexts and roles.

This qualification could lead to employment or increase employability for those whose role is to support others in e.g., health and social care work, teaching and learning, advocacy and mediation, support and project work, other helping roles.

 Course Content

  • Introduction to counselling and active listening skills

  • Introduction to counselling theory and different approaches to counselling

  • Introduction to difference and diversity

  • Introduction to ethics in counselling and helping roles

  • Skills Practice

    Deposit Required on booking: £215

    Fees can be paid upfront or in monthly instalments.

  • This course will run on one weekend a month from 9:30am-4:45pm each day:

    NB We will be meeting for two weekend in July.

  • There are no entry requirements for this course however, students must be in a sufficiently emotionally stable state within which to safely explore and challenge their own reactions/thoughts and self-awareness within a group setting.

    Students must demonstrate a commitment to understanding and engaging with therapeutic processes and theories in an open and encouraging manner.

    Entry onto this qualification is subject to interview with a Liminal Space tutor.
